I-2-I Solutions Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Healthcare Janitorial Specialist to support the VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in The Dalles, OR. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for Veterans and healthcare staff.
This clinic is approximately 3,522 sq. ft. and includes exam rooms, offices, labs, waiting areas, restrooms, nurse/treatment areas, utility rooms, and reception. All cleaning is performed after clinic hours to maintain patient safety and minimize disruption.
What You’ll DoDaily Cleaning Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect all restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, dispensers, and fixtures
- Restock toilet paper, paper towels, seat covers, soap, and hand sanitizer
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms and medical touchpoints (exam tables, counters, sinks, door handles)
- Vacuum carpets and mats; sweep and mop resilient floors
- Clean waiting room furniture, reception areas, and lobbies
- Empty trash and recycling; replace liners
- Clean entrance doors, glass panels, and high-touch surfaces
- Maintain breakrooms, office areas, conference rooms, and staff spaces
Weekly Tasks
- Dust office areas, cabinets, windowsills
- Remove cobwebs
- Clean and inspect light fixtures
Monthly Tasks
- Clean window blinds/curtains
- Clean air vents, exhaust grills, and diffusers
- Deep vacuum along edges and under furniture
- Buff and maintain resilient floors
- Steam-clean or extract carpets in high-traffic areas
Quarterly Tasks
- Deep clean vents and light fixtures
- Strip and recoat all VCT flooring
- Clean secure rooms (during clinic hours, supervised by staff)
Semi-Annual & Annual Tasks
- Full window washing (interior/exterior)
- Deep extraction of carpets
- Replace snap-panel cubicle curtains (materials provided)
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services experience required
- Healthcare or clinical cleaning experience strongly preferred
- Able to lift 40–50 lbs., push/pull carts, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Must pass VA Tier 1 Background Investigation, fingerprinting, and training
- Must follow infection control standards, including a two-step cleaning and disinfection process
- Must be dependable, professional, and respectful when interacting with Veterans and staff
- Reliable transportation required

- Uniform and badge must be worn at all times
- Must complete VA-mandated trainings (HIPAA, privacy, safety, anti-harassment)
- All chemicals must be used and stored properly
- Must maintain key control and follow all facility security procedures
