Position summary: The Quality Associate is responsible for ensuring the quality of inbound and outbound products that is produced and provided to and by Hyundai Steel Georgia. The Quality Associate will analyze quality defects and uphold quality standards in order to meet the needs of the company.
General purpose: The Quality Associate supports quality goals and department initiatives to support the company in its goals to provide quality products and service to its customers and other business associates.
Role qualifications:
- A Bachelor Degree preferred
- One to two years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience working in automotive industry preferred
Position responsibilities:
- Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the company.
- Understanding complex quality guidelines regarding materials and manufacturing processes
- Correspond with Customers and Suppliers in order to ensure product’s quality
- Partner with production and other departments to help resolve technical issues and implement corrective action
- Analyze quality issues and perform root-cause analysis
- Come up with plans to improve the quality of the company’s steel products
- Prepare quality reports based on analysis
- Communicate with and direct hourly Quality Inspectors
- Attend and participate in Department and Company meetings
- Interface the SAP database and maintain accurate and up to date information within the system
