Civil & Architectural Engineers design, assess, and maintain the structural integrity of
buildings, foundations, and support systems in the steel mill. They perform inspections
manage construction projects, and ensure compliance with engineering codes and safety
standards. This role supports facility expansions, infrastructure upgrades, and operational
sustainability.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Plans, coordinates, and manages civil & architectural construction on time and within budget
· Managing civil & architectural work related to the maintenance and repair of a plant & building
· Ensure compliance with structural engineering standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
· Provide engineering direction to detailing, design, sales and production departments
· Interpret contract documents and communicate with Architects/Engineers of Record/Fabricators on product design requirements
· Become conversant in steel design codes (eg. AISC, AISI, SJI, SDI) and specs
Minimum Education
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent
· Majors in Civil & Architectural Engineering engineering, or similar technical field
· Minimum Civil & Architectural E.I.T. certification with desire to become Civil & Architectural P.E.
Minimum Skills and Experience
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world production
· Occasionally lifting up to 25lbs
· Mobility required. Must be able to handle stairs and long periods of work on your feet
· Willing to periodically work off shifts as plant conditions require
· Ability to work at heights
Preferred Education
· Civil & Architectural P.E. certification
Preferred Skills and Experience
· Experience in steel joist industry or structural steel design
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, MS Project, or construction Management software
· Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering reports.
· Fluent in Korean and English
Employment Conditions
During the initial setup phase of the company, employer-sponsored benefits (including health insurance) may not be immediately available upon hire.
