Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk / AP & AR Specialist to support daily accounting operations in a high-volume environment. This role works closely with the Controller and accounting team and requires accuracy, accountability, and familiarity with modern dealership accounting systems.
Key Accounting Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Enter and post vendor invoices and purchase orders within Tekion
- Reconcile parts and vendor statements and research discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Review, submit, and track advertising and marketing invoices
Accounts Receivable
- Post customer and third-party payments and complete daily deposit entries
- Prepare and distribute monthly accounts receivable statements
- Reconcile AR balances and resolve posting variances
Vehicle & Inventory Accounting
- Record dealer trades, vehicle purchases, and new vehicle inventory transactions
- Process wholesale vehicle deals and ensure accurate accounting entries
- Maintain proper documentation for vehicle-related transactions
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies
- Miscellaneous or additional tasks as needed, in accordance with the department's needs.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of accounting, AP/AR, or dealership accounting experience preferred
- Experience with automobile DMS strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger processes
- Strong Excel skills and close attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High level of discretion and professionalism
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $21–$25 per hour (based on experience)
