Intern, Data Science

The Intern, Data Science is responsible for conducting analytics in partnership with various business units across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in machine learning, statistics, text analytics, and/or predictive modeling. 

Major Responsibilities

• Work on analytics projects related to customer and vehicle data  
• Pre-process, clean, and analyze large data sets.  
• Conduct exploratory data analysis. 
• Create new input features and build end-to-end data pipeline for machine learning models. 
• Develop machine learning models using advanced statistical techniques 
• Leverage machine learning and natural language processing techniques to mine unstructured data and uncover insights, topic detection, keyword extraction, and sentiment analysis. 
• Present data and analysis in a clear and concise manner. 
• Respond to emails, calls, in-person inquiries and requests. 
• Participate in meetings, capture notes and publish action items, and follow-up on next steps 
• Interface with IT 
• Escalate issues as needed. 
• Other assignments and administrative tasks as needed. 
  
  

Additional Notes

• Available for a full-time paid internship in June to August 2026 
• Local to Fountain Valley, CA (no relocation or housing will be offered) 
• Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the internship 
• Visa sponsorship is not available 
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
• Compensation: $25.00/Hour
  
  

Education

• Must be a high school graduate.
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in a related field.
