*Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. Normal Shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)*

**Position Summary**
This is a Zinc Nickel Assistant position in our Zinc Nickel Plating department. Employees in this position will learn tasks in order to prepare parts for processing. Zinc Nickel Assistants may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program*. The Plating Assistants perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications.

**Position Summary**
This is a Zinc Nickel Assistant position in our Zinc Nickel Plating department. Employees in this position will learn tasks in order to prepare parts for processing. - FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing.

- Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators and Department Leads; legibly sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred.
- General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
- Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning, layout, and racking; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
- Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
- Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
- Familiar with engineering drawing notations.
- Follow safety precautions to avoid preventable injury to self and other personnel.
- Develop new product processing and identify areas for improvement.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service.
- Other duties as assigned.
