Entry-Level Estimating Assistant / Junior Estimator

We are a specialty commercial contractor focused on roofing, siding, and waterproofing systems throughout NW Washington. Our team delivers high-performance exterior systems for industrial, educational, government, and multifamily clients.

We're seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual to join our estimating team in an entry-level support role. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of the construction industry while developing strong technical estimating skills and learning from experienced professionals.

 What You’ll Be Doing

As an Estimating Assistant, you’ll play a critical role in preparing bids and supporting the estimating process. Your primary responsibilities will center around electronic takeoffs and document review. Typical tasks include:

• Reviewing architectural and structural plan sets

• Performing digital takeoffs using Bluebeam Revu

• Creating condition sheets and documenting scopes

• Organizing quantities, plan notes, and site photo data

• Supporting CRM data entry and file organization

• Learning roofing and cladding assemblies along with estimating best practices

• Helping refine internal takeoff and estimating workflows

This is a office based, technical role—ideal for someone who enjoys working with precision, patterns, and process using digital tools.

With mentorship and training, this role can grow into a full Estimator or Sales position over time. Occasional responsibilities that support that growth may include:

• Assisting with bid packages and proposal development

• Coordinating with suppliers for material pricing

• Attending site walks with senior staff to gather notes

• Helping maintain bid logs and follow-up schedules

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or similar

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Experience or confidence using Bluebeam Revu

• Strong attention to detail and solid math skills

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

• Curiosity and drive to learn construction estimating workflows

• Bonus: Existing experience in estimating or construction admin is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting Pay Range: $22.00–$30.00 / hr (DOE)

• Typical Entry Pay: $24.50–$28.50 / hr based on aptitude and technical proficiency

Schedule and Work Location

• Schedule: Monday to Friday. 7:00-4:00
• Location: Most of the logged time will be at our office in Lynden, WA.
• This is not a remote position
