Commercial Roofing Estimator

Position Overview

As a Commercial Roofing and Siding Estimator, you will analyze plans and specifications, perform accurate take-offs, and prepare competitive bids for commercial roofing and siding projects. You’ll play a critical role in identifying solutions, building customer relationships, and ensuring project success. Ideal candidates will have experience in construction management, estimating, or related fields. Field experience is a plus but not required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and Specification Review: Analyze electronic plan sets and specifications using tools like Bluebeam Revu to create detailed estimates.
• Bid Preparation:
• • Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site inspections.
  • Prepare comprehensive bids, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Secure competitive vendor pricing and submit bid forms and proposals.
• Customer Engagement:
• • Meet with prospective customers to educate and consult them on roofing and siding solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, vendors, and team members to ensure smooth handoffs and clear project scopes.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including measurements, materials, proposals, and project details.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Experience:
• • Minimum of one year in commercial construction estimating or related supervisory roles.
  • Background in roofing and/or siding is highly desirable.
• Education:
• • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business (preferred).
  • Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Technical Proficiency:
• • Skilled in Microsoft 365 and CRM platforms.
  • Familiarity with plan review and take-offs using software like Bluebeam Revu.
• Physical Ability:
• • Able to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders to heights of 25 feet or more.
• Licensing:
• • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation: $30 -$50/hr DOE.

Schedule and Work Location

• Schedule: Monday to Friday. 7:00-4:00
• Location:
• • Work primarily in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, and Island Counties.
  • Most of the logged time will be at our office in Lynden, WA.
