Job Summary

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, support, and optimization of the organization's information technology infrastructure. This position ensures the reliability, security, and performance of servers, networks, cloud services, enterprise applications, and end-user computing environments. The role provides technical support, implements system improvements, and maintains compliance with organizational security and operational standards.

Job Duties

  • Administer, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual server environments.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and support operating systems, enterprise applications, and related infrastructure components.
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity and access management systems.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and related collaboration technologies.
  • Administer RingCentral cloud-based communication and collaboration platform.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal operation.
  • Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Configure and support network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, and VPN technologies.
  • Apply operating system, application, and security updates in accordance with established change management procedures.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, network, and security-related incidents.
  • Maintain endpoint management systems, including workstation deployment, patch management, and asset inventory.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, procedures, and standards.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives through vulnerability remediation, access controls, security monitoring, and compliance activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers regarding infrastructure support, maintenance, and technology implementations.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing, system maintenance activities, and after-hours support as required.
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and supporting technology projects and infrastructure upgrades.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience administering enterprise systems, servers, networks, or cloud environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and server administration.
  • Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, security, and backup solutions.


Preferred

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network , Security , Server , Microsoft, or Azure certifications.
  • Experience with PowerShell or other automation tools.
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in server rooms and other technology support environments as needed.


Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledge of Windows Server administration and enterprise operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and security best practices.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple technology domains.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skill in documenting technical processes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Skill in scripting and automation technologies is preferred.

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
