At Hyspan Precision Products (www.hyspan.com), we are the leader in expansion joint and bellows technology and manufacturing worldwide. We’re seeking a qualified Systems & Network Administrator who can help manage our IT infrastructure.
Job Summary
The Systems & Network Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and support of the company’s IT infrastructure. This includes networks, firewalls, servers, cloud systems, security tools, backups, and disaster recovery systems.
This role focuses on executing and maintaining the systems and projects defined by IT leadership. The position does not supervise staff but serves as the primary technical resource for infrastructure operations and Tier 2/3 support.
Essential Job Functions
An employee in this position may be assigned any of the following duties:
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Administer and maintain Windows servers, virtualization platforms, Azure cloud resources, and storage systems.
- Perform system updates, patching, performance monitoring, and routine maintenance.
- Execute server migration and infrastructure upgrade tasks as directed by IT leadership.
Network & Firewall Administration
- Manage, configure, and monitor switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks, and related network infrastructure.
- Maintain firewall rules, routing, and network security controls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
Cloud Services & Microsoft 365
- Manage Microsoft 365 tenant, including accounts, licensing, security, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and compliance tools.
- Administer Azure AD, Conditional Access, Intune, MFA enforcement, and security baselines.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Maintain the company’s cybersecurity posture through patching, monitoring, vulnerability mitigation, and log analysis.
- Implement and maintain NIST/CMMC technical controls as directed.
- Respond to alerts and assist with incident response and remediation efforts.
Backups & Disaster Recovery
- Manage and maintain backup systems, retention policies, and offsite/cloud backups.
- Perform and document routine restore tests to verify data integrity.
- Support disaster recovery planning and readiness.
Technical Support (Tier 2/3)
- Provide escalation support for complex issues that cannot be resolved at Tier 1.
- Troubleshoot advanced issues related to servers, networks, security tools, and cloud services.
Vendor Coordination
- Open and manage support tickets with hardware, software, ISP, cloud, and security vendors.
- Obtain quotes for equipment and services and relay recommendations to IT leadership.
Documentation
- Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, configuration records, and standard procedures.
- Update system and network documentation as infrastructure changes occur.
Additional Duties
- Provide occasional after-hours support for critical incidents or scheduled maintenance.
- Perform other infrastructure-related tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge
- Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
- Microsoft 365 administration, Azure AD, Intune, Conditional Access.
- Network design, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, WiFi infrastructure.
- Virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V).
- Backup systems, data protection, and disaster recovery principles.
- Cybersecurity best practices aligned with NIST/CMMC.
Skills

Experience Required: 4–6 years of hands-on IT infrastructure experience
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
