Software Systems Engineer

Salary: £118,150 - £159,850 annual

A leading aerospace and defence company is looking for a Senior Software Systems Engineer. This position supports a cross-functional engineering team where you will have the opportunity to interface directly with customers, present to senior leadership, and make a significant impact at a program level within an Agile framework.

What You'll Be Doing

• Apply excellent communication skills to maintain relationships within a cross-functional Agile framework.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of overarching systems and the interrelationships between system components.
• Complete software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues, and opportunities throughout the software lifecycle.
• Monitor and review test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution for software systems.
• Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to software development.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or related technical field.
• Proven experience with software development using Java, C , or Python.
• Significant experience working within an Agile Framework (SAFe) or general Agile environments.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and software system-level analysis.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and eligible to obtain a security clearance.
