- We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with deep experience in healthcare analytics, strong SQL skills, and a solid background in AI/ML. This role focuses on leveraging healthcare data to generate actionable insights, improve patient outcomes, optimize operations, and support strategic decision-making.
- Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics and machine learning models for healthcare use cases (e.g., patient risk stratification, readmission prediction, fraud detection).
- Work with large-scale structured and unstructured healthcare datasets (EHR, claims, clinical, and operational data).
- Write complex, optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines in collaboration with data engineering teams.
- Translate business and clinical requirements into data science solutions.
- Develop predictive and prescriptive models using techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning.
- Perform feature engineering and model evaluation to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders, including clinicians, executives, and product teams.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA or local equivalents).
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices in analytics and model development.
- Required Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in data science, with significant exposure to healthcare analytics.
- Strong expertise in SQL (advanced querying, performance tuning, data modeling).
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and machine learning.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Experience working with healthcare datasets (EHR, EMR, claims, payer/provider data).
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling and data analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
