Advanced CNC Machine Operator (2nd Shift)

We are looking for an advanced CNC operator with tooling knowledge to join our team! This is a second shift position. Hours: 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Starts and stops CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
• Change tooling.
• Performs tool and insert changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
• Adjust CNC machines as needed.
• Properly and safely loads and unloads castings and raw materials in and out of machine using a lifting device such as an overhead hoist or by hand depending on part size and weight.
• Responsible for meeting standard production timeframes established for setup and cycle times.
• Performs some follow-up operations, such as deburring, polishing, grinding and prepping the part for shipping. This may include sending the part through the wash tank.
• Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
• Occasional use of manual or electric pallet jack.
• Documents QA inspections.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Experience in an industrial environment with ability of comprehend and troubleshoot production machinery.
• Ability to use a variety of measuring tools and test equipment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with managers, vendors, customers and other employees of the organization.
• Must have advanced tooling knowledge in a CNC machining environment. Preferred knowledge of tooling and CNC 5 years' experience.
