Hypland is a globally recognized streetwear brand rooted in anime, gaming, and culture. Known for immersive drops, community-first retail experiences, and high-energy collaborations, our Little Tokyo flagship serves as both a retail store and a cultural hub.

We’re looking for a Retail Store Manager who thrives at the intersection of operations, community building, content, and leadership — someone who can run a tight store while also helping amplify Hypland’s presence locally and online.

The Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily store operations while actively building the Hypland Little Tokyo store into a community destination. This role blends traditional retail management with event coordination, social media content, and local partnerships.

You’ll lead the in-store team, manage inventory for frequent launches, collaborate with local businesses and creators, and help shape the store’s voice across TikTok and Instagram.

• Lead, train, and manage a team of retail associates to deliver a premium in-store experience
• Create staff schedules, oversee daily operations, and ensure store standards are consistently met
• Foster a positive, motivated, and culture-aligned team environment
• Handle customer service issues with professionalism and brand awareness

• Organize and manage inventory for frequent product launches, restocks, and in-store exclusives
• Coordinate closely with warehouse and HQ teams to ensure smooth deliveries and stock flow
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and visual merchandising standards
• Prepare the store for launch days, activations, and high-traffic weekends

• Coordinate in-store events, activations, and pop-ups (launch parties, signings, community nights, etc.)
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, creatives, and cultural partners in Little Tokyo
• Position the store as a community hub beyond retail — a place people want to return to

• Manage and grow the store’s TikTok and Instagram presence
• Capture and post in-store content (events, drops, fits, customers, BTS moments)
• Engage with the local community through comments, DMs, and reposts
• Collaborate with Hypland HQ on brand-aligned content and campaigns

• 2–4 years of retail management experience (streetwear, lifestyle, or culture-driven brands preferred)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to organize, motivate, and manage a team
• Highly organized with experience handling inventory and frequent product launches
• Comfortable creating and managing content for TikTok and Instagram
• Passionate about community building, culture, and events
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, self-starter mindset
• Familiarity with anime, gaming, streetwear, or youth culture is a major plus
