Floor Lead (West Hollywood)

Job Overview

As a Floor Lead at Hyperwolf, you will take on all the responsibilities of a Sales Associate while also being entrusted with additional leadership duties. You will play a critical role in opening and closing the store, ensuring smooth daily operations, and acting as a point of contact when management is unavailable. This position requires strong reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to uphold company policies while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Provide exceptional customer service to every guest, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Build meaningful rapport with customers, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
• Proactively engage with customers on the sales floor, offering guidance and support.
• Assist customers in selecting the best products for their unique needs and preferences.
• Actively recommend products based on customer preferences and upsell where appropriate.
• Educate first-time cannabis consumers with care, emphasizing safety, dosage, and expectations.
• Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets through proactive selling strategies.

Store Operations & Compliance

• Effectively open and close the store, ensuring all opening/closing tasks are completed.
• Track store KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) during shifts to ensure sales and operational goals are being met or exceeded.
• Ensure downtime tasks are completed, keeping the store clean, organized, and running smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail space, ensuring all areas are properly stocked. Follow all standard operating procedures, including customer check-in, check-out, and POS use.
• Adhere strictly to all cannabis retail compliance guidelines and regulations.
• Verify customer IDs for every transaction in compliance with state laws.
• Follow proper cash handling policies to ensure accuracy and security.
• Report any suspicious activity, potential policy violations, or security concerns to management.

Cash Management & Transactions

• Issue change for cash drawers and swap out tips, so staff doesn’t end their shift with an excess of small bills.
• Assist in processing returns and exchanges, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Process sales transactions with accuracy, including accepting various forms of payment.
• Assist with cash handling, ensuring all registers are balanced at the end of each shift.

Inventory Management

• Assist with stocking and rotating products on the sales floor to ensure proper presentation and freshness.
• Perform periodic inventory counts and spot checks as directed by management.
• Help identify low-stock items and communicate restocking needs promptly.
• Assist with entering product details, including potency and package dates, into the POS system for newly received inventory.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

• Act as a point of contact for staff when management is unavailable.
• Maintain open communication with store managers and the entire Stilo team.
• Participate in team meetings, product training, and store events.
• Offer support to team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Provide feedback on customer preferences and product trends to management for better buying decisions.

Additional Duties

• Answer phone calls professionally and provide accurate information.
• Assist with marketing efforts such as setting up in-store displays and merchandising promotions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a leadership or keyholder role.
• Passion for cannabis education and wellness.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of cannabis products and strains preferred.
• Experience handling cash and operating a POS system is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
