Hypertherm Associates is seeking a Data & AI Business Analyst to join our team!
Hypertherm’s Data & AI Business Analyst conducts business process and preliminary cost/benefits analysis to align information technology solutions with digital initiatives.
The Data & AI Business Analyst Will
- Provide guidance (technology and process), training, and daily support to business operations and product innovation
- Help our business partners leverage data assets within our enterprise data lake to drive business decisions and optimize our products as well as operations
- Design data and AI solutions and provide direction on delivering the same
- Own data lineage and/or pipeline within the enterprise data lake
- Master’s in Computer Science or Data Analytics or 4 years of relevant experience
- Expertise in Python, SQL, SparkSQL, pySpark, Azure (Resource Groups, ADF, Purview, EventHub), DataBricks, Power BI and other technologies as appropriate
- Good understanding of statistical models and assessment of uncertainty
- Familiarity with AI, ML (supervised & unsupervised) and Deep Learning techniques and their applications
- Experience working within a SCRUM team that includes but not limited to business and functional team subject matter experts
- Value across the enterprise and accelerate digital transformation as a key stakeholder
- Subject matter expertise (content, processes, and procedures) within given value streams associated with enterprise applications
- Ability to Analyze, define, and develop solution of end-to-end business processes, drive continuous improvement to streamline such business processes to achieve operational excellence in a team environment cross-functionally (Business and Technical) within the assigned value streams
- Resolve production issues and support a set group of business processes
- Support formulation of long-term strategy (process and technology) and executes plan in partnership with customers and other IS teams
- Contribute to the research and selection of new technologies as well as learn and apply them to solve business problems with limited guidance from senior team members
- Lead the documentation of data assets within our data lake using Purview in partnership with business stakeholders
- Adhere to and promote business process framework and contribute to its continuous improvement
- PhD in Data Analytics domain or 8 years’ experience of relevant experience
- Expertise in Scala, R, XML, Java, Linux, Unix, DataBricks (Serverless, dedicated and Apache Spark pools)
- Experience in working with natural language processing (NLP) and building computation models
- Feature engineering, model selection and tuning
