Position Overview

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and daily operations of Hyper Kidz – Fort Worth. This role oversees all staff, facility operations, guest experience, safety compliance, financial performance, and revenue growth initiatives.

The General Manager ensures the business operates efficiently, safely, and profitably while delivering exceptional experiences for children and families. This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance people management, operational excellence, marketing execution, and financial accountability in a fast-paced family entertainment environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, and discipline employees

• Develop team members through continuous training and performance feedback

• Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans

• Recognize and reward high-performing employees

• Address poor performance promptly and professionally

• Ensure all employees understand company goals, expectations, and sales targets

• Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on guest occupancy

Operations Management

• Oversee all day-to-day facility operations in accordance with the Hyper Kidz Operations Manual

• Ensure all positions are properly staffed and cross-trained

• Maintain cleanliness standards throughout the facility at all times

• Ensure play equipment and facility areas are safe and fully operational

• Coordinate repairs and maintenance promptly

• Ensure compliance with Tarrant County fire, safety, and occupancy regulations

• Promote guest and staff safety at all times

• Maintain incident, accident, and guest complaint documentation

Guest Experience & Customer Service

• Ensure exceptional guest service standards are consistently met

• Resolve guest concerns professionally and effectively

• Monitor online reviews and respond as directed by Owners

• Drive customer loyalty through positive guest interactions

• Maintain strong standards for child supervision, safety, and emergency procedures

Financial Management

• Create, manage, and maintain location budgets

• Review daily sales reports and implement corrective actions when necessary

• Monitor monthly financial performance against projections

• Prepare and submit financial reports to Owners

• Ensure all accounting activities follow approved company procedures

• Make daily bank deposits as required

Payroll & Administrative Duties

• Balance and reconcile payroll data

• Calculate reimbursements, bonuses, overtime, holiday pay, and differential pay

• Compile payroll summaries including earnings, taxes, deductions, and leave

• Calculate party host tips and differential pay biweekly

• Deposit and report payroll taxes

• Maintain accurate employee and financial records

Marketing & Community Engagement

• Execute all approved marketing and promotional initiatives

• Update and manage social media accounts daily

• Track marketing campaign performance and maintain records of results

• Develop partnerships with Fort Worth–area schools, daycares, and community organizations

• Support B2C, B2B, and B2G revenue growth initiatives

• Coordinate cross-promotional opportunities with landlords and neighboring tenants

• Strengthen Hyper Kidz Fort Worth’s brand presence within the local community

Reporting & Communication

• Communicate daily with Owners regarding operations, staffing, and performance

• Prepare and submit operational and financial reports as required

• Document all operational activities in accordance with company procedures

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of all facility positions

• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required

• Perform additional management duties as assigned by Ownership

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of management experience

• Experience in retail, hospitality, entertainment, or family attractions preferred

• Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities

• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, payroll, and scheduling

• Ability to manage budgets and financial reporting

• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, child-focused environment

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Experience in family entertainment, children’s recreation, or event management

• Proven success driving revenue growth through marketing and outreach

• Knowledge of KPIs, financial metrics, and performance tracking

• Familiarity with inventory management and digital marketing tools
