Hyperion Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team, reporting to the Corporate Controller. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the business, including accounts payable processing, cash receipts posting, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, fixed asset accounting, and 1099 reporting.

Hyperion Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team, reporting to the Corporate Controller. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the business, including accounts payable processing, cash receipts posting, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, fixed asset accounting, and 1099 reporting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable invoices for general expenses, freight, and PO receipts
- Review and post the daily AR cash receipts batch entries
- Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain associated balance sheet reconciliations
- Complete month-end bank reconciliation.
- Support the accounting function for corporate/shared services
- Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
- Assist with 1099 processing
- Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Accounting
- 1 to 3 years of related experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with SAP and Quick Books Online preferred
- Proficient in MS356 products, especially Microsoft Excel
- Great interpersonal skills – displays honesty, ethics and integrity at all times
- Excellent communication skills including a positive attitude
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Sensitivity to confidential matters
- Displays a sense of urgency, self-motivation and discipline, the ability to develop a rapport, and be a team player
