Overview
Join our dynamic security team as a Private Security Officer and play a vital role in safeguarding the clients facilities, assets, and personnel. You will be responsible for monitoring premises, managing access control, conducting security patrols, and responding swiftly to incidents.
Duties
- Monitor security systems including surveillance cameras and access control systems to detect and respond to suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure physical security and identify potential hazards or breaches.
- Manage entry points by verifying identities, performing background checks, and authorizing access for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as medical incidents, security breaches, or safety hazards by executing established emergency response protocols.
- Perform thorough inspections of facilities, including checking security systems, fences, doors, and windows for vulnerabilities.
- Write detailed incident reports, shift logs, and surveillance summaries to document all activities accurately.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies or emergency responders when necessary to resolve incidents efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience in private security, law enforcement, military service or related fields demonstrating strong operational management skills.
- Knowledge of security systems including CCTV surveillance, access control systems, and alarm monitoring.
- Familiarity with performing background checks and screening procedures for personnel or visitors.
- Demonstrated ability in conflict management, de-escalation techniques, and maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Strong written communication skills for report writing and documentation purposes.
- Experience in emergency response procedures such as CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical security tasks including heavy lifting and patrolling for extended periods while maintaining alertness.
* Job preference will be given to prior military and LE. However years of expierence in a private security capacity will be considered. PLEASE NOTE: this position will be used to help screen candidates for other personal protection roles within Hyperion.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
