Growth Manager (Founding AE)
Location: Chicago, IL
Work Model: Hybrid — 3 days per week in-office in Chicago Downtown, 2 days remote
Type: Full-time
Reports to: Head of Sales / CRO
This is a foundational revenue role at an early-stage company.
Not a junior BDR. Not a “wait for inbound” AE.
You’ll own the top and mid-funnel and help shape how deals move from first conversation to revenue. You’ll work closely with leadership, marketing, and technical teams to build a repeatable growth engine.
What you’ll do
- Run outbound and inbound prospecting (LinkedIn, email, events, partnerships)
- Own discovery calls and qualification
- Drive opportunities forward with clear next steps
- Build and maintain a clean, accurate pipeline
- Collaborate with technical teams on solution positioning
- Contribute to messaging, ICP definition, and sales process
- Represent the company professionally in meetings and events

Requirements
- 2–5 years in BDR, AE, or hybrid sales roles (B2B tech preferred)
- Experience running discovery calls end-to-end
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, disciplined, and execution-focused
- Experience with Attio CRM or similar modern CRMs
- Startup or early-stage experience is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Where required by law, the company provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. The base salary is $60,000, plus variable compensation. Actual compensation will depend on relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position is eligible for incentive compensation based on individual performance and is also eligible for company benefits, which may include medical, dental, and vision insurance with employer contribution; paid time off; participation in a 401(k) program with company match.
