WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR
JOB SUMMARY
Plans, directs, and coordinates warehouse and distribution activities in accordance with Hyper Networks, LLC. policies and applicable government laws or regulations. Reports to the Warehouse Manager.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Recommend alternatives to save money or improve delivery
● Maintain communication with suppliers for necessary pricing information
● Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications
● Track and maintain inventory that is stored in the warehouse, inventory that is
assigned out and inventory that is collected.
● Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary
● Maintain knowledge of all organizational policies and governmental laws and/or regulations affecting purchasing, OSHA safety , and security
● Plan, develop, and/or implement facility safety and security programs
● Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to managers to
ensure delivery times and locations are coordinated appropriately
● Confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities, such as
production, sales, records control, and/or purchasing
● Inspect and maintain physical conditions of warehouses and equipment
● Collaborate with leadership to order maintenance, repairs, or replacements as
needed
● Track and trace goods from vendors to ensure they are en route to their
destinations, expediting orders when necessary
● Assign, issue, and collect materials from subcontractors
● Maintain an understanding of GPN’s and the use of the items
● Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
● Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with
employees, contractors, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written
communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
● Demonstrate sound judgment and decision making
● Critical thinking and complex problem solving
● Reporting and prioritizing workloads
● Handling multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
● Maintaining organized and accurate records
● Working independently with minimal supervision
● Strong knowledge of Google Docs and Sheets or equivalent such as MS Office Suite
● Knowledge of basic mathematics
● Bend/squat/kneel/stand frequently
● Lifting 40-60 lbs and occasionally up to 80 lbs
● Safely using weight-bearing equipment (such as safety harness and ladders)
within the maximum weight limitations of that equipment
● Demonstrating a high level of maturity and leadership
● Ability to deal with ambiguity, work in a dynamic fluid environment and effectively cope with change
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
● Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience
● Valid NC driver's license with satisfactory driving record
● 2 years experience driving a forklift
● 2-5 years experience in a Warehouse environment
● OSHA Forklift Training certificate preferred
● Experience with telecommunication, fiber optic, and/or cable products and services preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
● Warehouse environment
● Exposure to dust, fluctuating indoor temperatures, and periodic high noise levels
● 20-30% travel required
