Role Description The Group Fitness Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in New Orleans, LA. This role is responsible for planning and leading high-energy group fitness classes, including indoor cycling, step, and circuit training, while ensuring a safe, motivating, and inclusive environment for participants. Day-to-day tasks include designing class formats and playlists, demonstrating proper exercise technique, providing real-time coaching and modifications, and monitoring participant performance and safety. The instructor will greet and engage members before and after class, respond to questions, offer fitness guidance, and help foster a strong sense of community. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with studio events, collaborating on programming improvements, and supporting studio operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Group Exercise and Fitness Instruction, with the ability to lead diverse class formats safely and effectively.
- Experience in Personal Training and the Fitness Industry to provide knowledgeable guidance and progressions for different fitness levels.
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a focus on building positive relationships and creating an inclusive, welcoming environment.
- Current fitness certifications (e.g., group exercise, cycling, personal training) and CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to motivate and inspire participants, with strong communication, time management, and class organization skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced studio setting, including evenings and weekends, and collaborating effectively with a team.
