Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Body Shop Support Assistant to join our team. This role supports daily body shop operations by handling vehicle check-ins, scanning procedures, quality control inspections, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and willing to assist technicians as needed to ensure efficient shop flow.
Responsibilities
- Check in incoming vehicles and complete initial documentation
- Perform pre-repair and post-repair vehicle scans
- Conduct quality control inspections on completed repairs to ensure work meets standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the body shop and work areas
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of shop waste appropriately
- Break down cardboard boxes and manage shop packaging materials
- Assist body technicians with general support tasks when time permits
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
- Support overall shop efficiency and workflow
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and light lifting
- Basic understanding of automotive repair environment preferred, but not required
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
