Description:The material handler is responsible for proactively supplying raw materials to the machines. This position will maintain the organization of raw material inventory and put away raw material deliveries. The material handler will perform inventory transactions. And daily reconciliation of inventory levels and transactions as directed by Production Planner.6 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday (potential overtime on Friday)Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Proactively supply raw materials to production ensuring production does not run out.Accurately process material transacted in the Inventory System following pre-established guidelines and work instructions. Maintain an accurate inventory.Perform material changeovers.Correct and debug all inventory and WIP transactions as required. Assist with WIP and Finished Goods material movement as needed.Participate in continuous improvement programs.Participate in physical Inventory and cycle count efforts.Assist with the Production Supply Inventory program, including delivering as able. Maintain good housekeeping standards.Support and maintain safe work practices.Secondary Functions & Responsibilities:Participation in other duties and projects as required.Assist with baling scrap and dispositioning rolls and material. Assist shipping/receiving department as needed. Assist machine operators as needed.Competencies, Skills and AbilitiesSafety-conscious. Operating forklift/clamp truck it high-traffic, tight confines.Self-motivated. Ability to balance tasks according to priority level.Organization skills and attention to detail.Ability to work as a team member in a high activity environment, positively interacting with peers, leaders, and other departments.Good communication skills.Requirements:Education & ExperienceBasic math and computer skills.
