Hylton Residential Suites – where care feels like luxury
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, implementing memory care and behavior management techniques
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Engage residents in social activities and recreational programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
- Follow all safety procedures, including first aid protocols, infection control practices, and emergency response plans
Requirements
- Previous experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general
- Certification or training in first aid is advantageous; willingness to obtain required certifications if not already held
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, families, and team members
- Valid driver’s license for driving responsibilities related to resident outings or errands (if applicable)
- Clean background
Pay: $150.00 - $160.00 per day
