The Program Assistant provides support to the State Sales managers and Underwriting team for assigned program while continuing to grow and develop insurance and underwriting knowledge. The position also supports management and coworkers with projects through leadership, teamwork, training, and implementation. This is a temporary position that may lead to full-time opportunities and/or provide an avenue for joining the underwriting team as part of career progression.
In This Role You Will Execute On
Hylant Administrative Services (HAS) provides program members with specialized program administration solutions, including underwriting, claims, sales/marketing and risk management services which are not often fulfilled by the commercial market.
HAS offers a complete administrative service model providing alternative insurance solutions to over 1,000 program members. Our model includes a knowledgeable and professional team of underwriters, claim adjusters, sales executives and risk management specialists. With 45 team members HAS is the most responsive and innovative program administrator in the industry.

In This Role You Will Execute On
- Assist Underwriting with:
- Creating of new and renewal applications and data entry to process assigned submissions in a timely fashion
- Ensuring applications are complete and thoroughly documented on assigned accounts
- Creation of loss runs or other reports
- Binding and invoicing new and renewal accounts
- Policy issuance quality analysis processes
- Processing cancellations, non-renewals, reinstatement, endorsements, and audits
- High School diploma and two years of administrative support experience. Experience in the insurance industry highly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain consistently accurate work. Does not let important details slip through the cracks. Is able to read between the lines and ensure all duties are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
