Job Summary

This position is for part time evenings and occational weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Compounding medications as necessary, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized medication plans for patients, focusing on pain management and overall health outcomes.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure they are trained in proper medication administration techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed, including controlled substances, in compliance with applicable laws.
- Stay current with advancements in pharmacotherapy, anatomy knowledge, and pharmacy systems to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in the state of California.
- Strong knowledge of compounding medications, pain management strategies, and medication administration practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience supervising pharmacy technicians is a plus.
