What are the responsibilities and job description for the Batch Specialist 2nd Shift position at Hydrox Laboratories?
Position Summary:
Responsible for Issuance, Review and Maintenance of all Batch Records – Issue Batch Records and assign lot numbers. Review of Batch Records in process and final review to ensure continuous cGMP.
Essential Functions:
1. Receive, understand and follow all written and oral instruction.
2. Communicate all concerns and other work related issues to manager.
3. Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety and attendance requirements.
4. Complete all paperwork and maintain all files associated with the position
5. Participate in performance improvement measures and tasks. Recommends improvements.
6. Participate in training and is accountable for learning the material and information.
7. Perform other tasks as assigned.
8. Issues batch records based on requests from Planning. Must assign a sequential lot number and record in the Finished Product log;
9. Fills out component requirements for all batch records;
10. Reviews all finished batch records for completeness and accuracy;
11. Responsible for ensuring that any corrections or omissions are taken care of in a timely manner;
12. After release by the QA supervisor, ensures that the Shipping Department is notified that the product is realeased for Distribution;
13. Issue release stickers to QC for application to approved product;
14. Keep all files in a neat and orderly fashion;
16. Any additional projects assigned by Supervisor or Departmental Managers.
17. Heavily audits batch record paperwork to ensure completeness and addresses any missing record information with employees, supervisors and/or managers.
Minimum Education, Abilities and Skills:
1. Strong attention to detail;
2. Must understand and comply with Good Documentation Practices;
3. Must grasp new concepts quickly, organize time and work independently with minimal supervision.
4. Ability to use microsoft office products
5. Ability to maintain accurate records and information.
6. Ability to audit documents thoroughly and with a high level of detail.
This position is a mix of in office and in the shop work with 80% of the job performed in an office type setting.
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
