Computational Research Scientist

Overview
A growing biotechnology company is seeking a Computational Research Scientist to join its R&D team. This role focuses on applying advanced computational and machine learning approaches to support innovative research in areas such as enzyme design, protein engineering, and biological process optimization. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with experimental scientists to develop predictive models, analyze complex datasets, and guide research strategies that advance next-generation biotechnologies.

• Develop and apply computational and AI-driven models to address biological and biochemical challenges
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to generate actionable insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional research teams to validate and refine computational predictions
• Contribute to the development of computational tools and workflows that enhance research efficiency
• Communicate results and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  
  

• Ph.D. required in a relevant field (e.g., Bioengineering, Computational Biology, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline)
• Experience with machine learning or deep learning techniques
• Must have fundamental training in enzyme engineering
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R, or similar languages)
• Proven ability to integrate computational methods with experimental research
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
  

• Hands On experience with protein modeling, enzyme design, or structural biology
• Familiarity with modern AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
