Role Description the Operator role is a full-time, on-site position located at Hydrodec’s re-refinery facility in Canton, OH. The Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling production equipment, performing routine inspections, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery throughout the shift. Daily tasks include recording operating data, adjusting process parameters, performing basic troubleshooting, and coordinating with maintenance and supervisory staff when issues arise. The role also involves adhering to safety protocols, following standard operating procedures, assisting with product sampling and quality checks, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Operators work as part of a team to meet production targets while supporting environmental and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, refinery, or chemical plant operations, with the ability to monitor and adjust machinery and process controls.
• Knowledge of safety practices, including lockout/tagout, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and adherence to OSHA and site-specific safety procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for equipment, pumps, valves, and related production systems.
• Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures, production logs, and basic technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality, including following sampling and quality-check processes.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, shift-oriented environment.
• Willingness to work in a refinery environment, including standing for extended periods, lifting moderate weights, and working in varying temperatures.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in oil, chemical, or heavy industrial operations is preferred.
• Reliable attendance record and readiness to work assigned shifts, including possible evenings, nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

Experience in one or more of the following is a plus:

• Oil refinery or industrial manufacturing operations
• DeltaV process control systems
• Forklift and light equipment operation
• General computer skills
• Electrical and/or mechanical experience
• Tanker truck loading/unloading
• Railcar loading/unloading
