- Ensure staff is properly trained, and evaluated to meet the department needs
- Supervise and set expectations and priorities for the supplier quality engineers and supplier quality specialists across all Hydro-Gear plants
- Using project management skills, ensure safe, proper and timely support to meet supplied parts meet Hydro-Gear’s quality requirements
- Collaborating with cross-functional peers and leaders to deliver projects
- Participating in supplier selection and supplier performance evaluation (scheduled travel 30%-40%)
- Build, inspire, motivate and mentor employees
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent four-year college or technical school and/or 6 or more year’s related experience and /or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in supervisory or leadership role (i.e. Quality Manager, Quality Supervisor, Engineering Manager, Engineering Superintendent, Engineering Supervisor)
- Auditing experience is required
- Experience with Excel, Word and statistical analysis tools like Minitab
- Up to 40% scheduled travel to other Hydro-Gear plants and suppliers
