Hydraulics International, Inc (HII) is seeking a Sheet Metal II.
Key Performance Deliverables:
- Use small and large power and hand tools such as grinder
- Remove burrs and sharp edges of sheet metals by using hand tools
- Fabricate sheet metal parts by operating one or all of the following machines: Punch Press, Water Jet, Laser Cut, Press Brake
- Set-up tooling on the machine as needed
- Maintain machine and its tooling’s and identify damaged tooling’s
- Read CNC program at the machines
- Read and understand blueprint, engineering drawing, or manufacturing sketches
- Inspect and verify sheet metal parts dimensionally per drawing
- Do sheet metal shop mathematical calculations using caliper and simple measuring devices
- Distinguish and identify raw materials such as sheet metals and plates (SST. AL. ST.)
- Makes an effort for continuous improvement to work processes for production and/or quality control
- Responsible for following rules & regulations stated in the company handbook, notices & postings.
- Responsible for following the written and verbal directions of leads, supervisor and management
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment as well as follow the Code of Safe Work Practices.
- Wiliness & ability to understand and adhere the company quality system in work processes
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience operating and setting-up press brake, punch press, laser cut, and water jet machine (as applicable)
- Experience operating the following machine brands (as applicable)
- Press Brake (Amada, AccuPress), Punch Press (Finn Power, Strippit), Laser Cut (Trumph) is a big plus
- Be able to read and understand blueprint, engineering drawing, or manufacturing sketches
- Be able to use caliper and simple measuring devices
- Experience working with work order (job order) document is a plus
- Lift up to 40 lbs.

Salary Expectations:
$19.50 - $22 HR.
