The Sales Representative is responsible for taking a proactive approach to sales, developing and growing new and existing accounts through relationship building and meeting all customers’ needs.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicating with customers, making sales calls to new and existing customers, and following up on sales quotes.
- Understanding customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunities.
- Answering customers' questions and sending additional information via email.
- Conduct sales calls via phone and in person, grow relationships with customers to achieve targeted growth goals.
- Provides customers with product details – features, benefits, competitive comparison.
- Resolves issues by working with the customer, estimating, and/or other departments.
- Assist customers with pricing and availability, order processing, and order status requests.
- Keep up with product and service information and updates.
- Work closely with the team to identify key projects and gain competitive information.
- Align sales with shop capacities to ensure an even workload.
- Closing sales and achieving sales targets.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years of proven Industrial sales experience in machining job shops.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of MRP systems.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, employees, and management.
- Ability to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFQs, and report submissions.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong listening and sales skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Self-Motivated with a proven track record in technical sales of machined components
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders
- Comfortable with technical sales and customer service
- Strong presentation skills
- Communicate professionally in both written and verbal responses to emails, RFQs, and when submitting reports
- Ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
- Associate's degree in Sales, Engineering, or equivalent
- Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position
- Track record of meeting daily activity goals
- Experience with using CRM software
- Learn and understand our suppliers, products, solutions, and resources
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain our products & services to customers
- Assess customers' application needs to help specify the specific product requirements
- Understand customer needs to provide cost-effective solutions
- Secure and renew customer loyalty by providing excellent customer service
- Help Production solve application challenges with our products
- Recommend products by showing how they will lower costs or increase production
- Utilize our supplier resources and our on-staff technical support teams
- Become a valuable part of our professional technical sales team
