Crane Operator

Job Summary
Hydraulic Crane Specialists is a crane rental company that has been serving the Gulf Coast region for over 50 years. We are looking for a NCCCO or equivalent certified, full-time operator who is reliable, honest, and motivated to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive or deliver equipment to the assigned jobsite and correctly assemble
• Operate cranes such as lattice boom truck cranes, rough terrain cranes, all-terrain cranes, and crawler cranes to lift, move, and position materials accurately on jobsites around the Gulf Coast
• Follow load handling procedures and load securing rigging methods to ensure safe lifting of materials
• Conduct pre-operation inspections with documentation of cranes and lifting equipment to verify safety equipment functionality and compliance with safety regulations
• Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA safety standards during all operations
• Coordinate with team members to plan lifting sequences and ensure proper rigging techniques are used for each load
• Maintain clear communication with ground personnel using hand signals or radio devices during crane operation
• Perform routine maintenance checks on hydraulic systems, load handling mechanisms, and safety devices to prevent equipment failures
• Perform light maintenance tasks on equipment when not dispatched

Requirements

• 5 years experience in mobile crane operations.
• Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial driving
• Clean driving record
• Must be capable of passing background check and drug screen
• Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and implementation of OSHA safety standards
• Ability to handle heavy loads safely while adhering to load handling procedures in crane operations
• Knowledge of materials handling techniques including rigging and load securing methods
• Experience working in crane taxi work highly desirable.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety protocol adherence
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, walk, bend, crawl, push, pull, climb, and stand for long periods
