Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise asphalt paving crews, coordinating daily tasks to meet project timelines and quality expectations
- Coordinate daily paving operations to ensure efficiency and quality
- Operate and oversee use of paving equipment daily
- Ensure proper asphalt placement, grading, and compaction
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety protocols
- Communicate with project managers, truck drivers, and crew members
- Monitor materials, equipment, and job progress
- Assist with hands-on labor when necessary
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing for extended periods
- Willingness to work in close proximity to hot asphalt (300°F ) in all weather conditions and seasons
- Knowledge of paving processes and construction site safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in asphalt paving, with leadership or operator experience
- Strong knowledge of paving operations, equipment, and crew management
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred but not required)
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
- Strong work ethic, leadership skills, and attention to detail
