About the Role
The General Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring profitable store operations while embodying Hyde Park Ventures’ mission, vision, and values.
This full-time, on-site position leads, trains, and motivates the store team to deliver exceptional guest experiences and uphold operational excellence.
The General Manager reports to the District Manager and supervises Hourly Shift Supervisors and Team Members.
Responsibilities
Leadership
• Foster a positive store culture and inspire the team to deliver consistently exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure accountability for quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Promote open, respectful communication and set clear expectations.
• Develop Shift Supervisors and Assistant Managers to achieve operational excellence.
• Conduct effective team meetings to drive continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with peers and senior leadership.
• Pursue ongoing personal development and self-improvement.
People Development
• Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent.
• Maintain optimal staffing levels.
• Provide ongoing training, performance reviews, check-ins, and daily coaching.
• Address performance concerns promptly and appropriately.
Achieving Results
• Execute the store’s business plan to drive results and continuous improvement.
• Focus on key performance metrics: Quality, Accuracy, Hospitality, Cleanliness, Speed, Value, and People.
• Achieve top results in Secret Shops, Steritech evaluations, and Contact Reports.
• Adhere to all company systems, processes, and operational standards.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent experience within Hyde Park Ventures or Five Guys).
• Minimum two years of restaurant management experience or equivalent General Manager experience.
• QSR or fast-casual restaurant experience preferred.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, hands-on leadership style.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Base Salary: $70,000 per year
