Café Night Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY
The Café Night Supervisor oversees all night-shift foodservice operations, ensuring consistent food quality, excellent customer service, proper staffing coverage, sanitation compliance, and smooth closing of all café stations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Shift Leadership & Staff Oversight
- Supervise all night-shift staff.
- Assign daily station responsibilities.
- Ensure staff follow recipes, portion controls.
- Provide coaching and corrective actions.
- Support proper breaks and labor compliance.
2. Operational Execution
- Oversee timely setup of all stations.
- Verify menu quality and presentation.
- Monitor speed of service.
- Ensure labeling, dating, and FIFO.
- Maintain temp logs and HACCP documentation.
3. Customer Service Excellence
- Maintain presence during service.
- Address concerns.
- Ensure dining room cleanliness.
- Support micro-market stock checks.
4. Safety, Compliance & Sanitation
- Ensure food safety compliance.
- Conduct spot checks.
- Oversee nightly cleaning schedules.
- Verify logs and sanitation buckets.
5. Closing Duties
- Confirm food storage procedures.
- Complete nightly inventory and production pulls.
- Ensure cash handling procedures.
- Lock down stations and equipment.
- Complete nightly supervisor report.
6. Administrative Tasks
- Complete temp logs, waste logs.
- Report maintenance issues.
- Track labor and attendance.
- Support training and cross-training.
