Restaurant Host Needed - Hyde Park Country Club
Founded in 1909, Hyde Park Golf & Country Club has evolved into one of the premier country clubs in Cincinnati. We are currently seeking part-time restaurant host for PM weekday and weekend shifts! Previous fine dining restaurant host experience is a plus! Entry level candidates are welcome to apply must have strong communication and customer service skills.
Job Summary:
Our mission is to offer a welcoming private club experience providing exceptional dining, golf, and recreational activities in an environment where families gather and friendships flourish. Hosts will assist with our mission by:
- Welcoming members and their guests to the club.
- Providing accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.
- Managing reservations.
- Managing inbound calls/requests and forwarding to the appropriate department line.
- Escorting members to assigned dining or bar areas, providing menus, and assisting with water service.
- Maintaining a clean reception area and assisting with cleaning off tables after dinner service.
- Catering to members who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly).
- Answering incoming calls and addressing member queries and taking to-go orders.
- Assisting wait staff and restaurant manager-on-duty as needed throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills (in-person and via phone calls).
- Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.
- Previous work experience as a host is a huge plus!
- Understanding of restaurant etiquette.
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations.
- Demonstrable customer-service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
- Availability to work in shifts as needed - variety of weekdays, at least 1 weekend shift is mandatory each week.
- High school diploma desired.
