The Facilities Generalist will support the overall look and cleanliness of the facilities. They will provide cleaning of the floors, walls, and other areas of the facilities as directed by their supervisor. The generalist will also support the facilities department for projects and daily operations.
NOTE: The Company agrees that this position is NOT eligible to work from home.
You will make an impact in this role by:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize mechanized floor scrubbers and basic cleaning equipment to clean the floors daily.
- Provide basic maintenance and cleaning of the floor scrubbers.
- As needed, work with the facilities technician to provide basic facilities maintenance support.
- Support process improvement, quality improvement, and safety efforts.
- Any other duties assigned by the Department Manager
Requirements
Skills and Attributes
- 2 years experience basic PC/Windows operation required.
- Preferred basic mathematics skills.
- Basic mechanical skills and the ability to learn on-the-job.
- Must have excellent reason and decision-making skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to understand written and verbal instruction in English.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English to coworkers.
To be considered for the Facilities Generalis role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:
- High School or GED diploma required.
- 1-3 years background in cleaning facilities in an industrial environment preferred.
- As a minimum, basic mechanical skills and knowledge of tools and their uses.
