Specialist, Key Accounts

Brixton is looking for a Key Accounts Specialist! The Key Accounts Specialist manages day-to-day support for our major wholesale accounts, keeping orders accurate, on time, and fully shipped. This role partners closely with buyers, Sales leadership, and Operations, and is the go-to resource for order management, EDI, returns, and account-specific requests.

This is a full-time exempt role based at our Carlsbad office, with the expectation of being on-site at least three days per week. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management & Customer Support

• Serve as the day-to-day support contact for assigned key accounts, building strong relationships with buyers and their teams.
• Respond to customer inquiries and requests promptly and professionally, making sure issues are resolved and followed up on.
• Process Return Authorizations (RAs), returns, and markdowns in line with account agreements and internal policy.
• Complete customer-specific forms, vendor setup documents, and internal processes for Special Make-Up (SMU) requests.

Order Management & Fulfillment

• Enter orders accurately and send order acknowledgment (O/A) confirmations to customers.
• Manage EDI order flow, including monitoring transactions and resolving errors or discrepancies.
• Maintain and adjust open orders, including cancellations, date changes, and quantity updates, and generate pick tickets.
• Maximize fill rates by monitoring inventory availability and working with Operations and Planning to prioritize fulfillment.
• Investigate and resolve order, shipping, and chargeback issues, identifying root causes to prevent repeat problems.

Communication & Reporting

• Keep buyers and internal stakeholders informed on shipping status, ticket requests, price corrections, and SMU requests.
• Prepare and distribute weekly open order status reports.
• Track and communicate action items from monday.com boards, making sure owners and deadlines are clear.
• Support Sales and Operations leadership with special projects, analysis, and ad hoc reports.

Sales Meetings & Trade Shows

• Help prepare for sales meetings, line reviews, and trade shows, including coordinating and organizing samples. 
• Travel 15%

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• 4 years of key account sales support experience in wholesale, ideally within apparel, footwear, or accessories.
• Direct experience supporting one or more of these accounts: Tilly’s, Nordstrom, Dillard’s, or Dick’s Sporting Goods.
• Hands-on EDI experience (e.g., 850 purchase orders, 855 acknowledgments, 856 ASNs, 810 invoices).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filtering) and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal partners and external buyers.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Self-directed and motivated, with a proactive, ownership-driven approach.
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP.
• Experience with monday.com or similar project management tools.
• Familiarity with retailer routing guides, vendor compliance requirements, and chargeback management.

SALARY RANGE

The base pay for this position is between $72,384 - $75,000 per year. In accordance with applicable state laws, the range provided is Brixton's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location.
