About the Role
We are seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to support service work orders for fitness equipment across multiple regions. This is a 1099 contract opportunity with flexible assignments and steady workload. Technicians will handle repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive service on commercial fitness equipment.
Responsibilities
Respond promptly to reactive service calls and complete scheduled preventive maintenance visits.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on commercial fitness equipment.
Perform adjustments, part replacements, and testing to ensure equipment is safe and fully functional.
Submit detailed service reports, including photos and documentation, after each assignment.
Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding job status, part requirements, and completion updates.
Maintain a polished, professional demeanor at all times and represent SSE with discretion.
Confidentiality & Discretion
Technicians will be required to sign and uphold strict Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
Discretion is non-negotiable: conversations, observations, or details about clients, their homes, businesses, or lifestyles must never be discussed, repeated, or shared.
Professional conduct and respect for client privacy are essential to success in this role.
Requirements
Experience: Prior mechanical/electrical repair required; fitness equipment repair strongly preferred.
Tools & Transportation: Must supply your own basic tools and have reliable transportation.
Physical Ability: Capable of lifting(up to 50Lbs , carrying, and performing hands-on repair work.
Credentials: Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
Training: Willingness to complete manufacturer-specific training (paid, virtual).
Professional Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, documentation/reporting, and commitment to confidentiality.

Hourly Pay: $40–$50, depending on experience.
