This role supports both the Engineering and Housekeeping departments and plays a key part in delivering a well-maintained and visually appealing property. The Technician ensures daily tasks are completed efficiently and provides direction to fellow team members as needed.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee and perform routine maintenance of hotel grounds, including landscaping, debris removal, pressure washing, and seasonal tasks.
- Complete minor repairs and preventive maintenance on hotel systems including lighting, HVAC filters, plumbing fixtures, and public area equipment.
- Daily inspections of outdoor areas, identifying potential safety hazards and coordinating timely corrective action.
- Support the Engineering team with operational tasks, work orders, and emergency maintenance requests.
- Partner with Housekeeping to ensure exterior areas and entrances meet cleanliness and brand standards.
- Monitor maintenance supply inventory and assist with ordering materials as needed.
- Ensure compliance with hotel safety procedures, chemical handling, and equipment operation protocols.
- Train and guide junior technicians or temporary staff in proper procedures and standards.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding project updates, maintenance needs, and guest impact issues.
- Assist with weather-related preparations and post-event cleanup (e.g., storms, snow removal, etc.).

Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, facilities maintenance, or engineering preferred
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and landscaping tools
- Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork
- Experience in a hotel or resort environment a plus
- Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
