Housekeeping Inspector

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Housekeeping Inspector to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across our hospitality or commercial facilities. In this vital role, you will oversee cleaning operations, supervise housekeeping staff, and ensure that all areas meet rigorous quality and hygiene standards. Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of all guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, laundry areas, and other designated zones to ensure compliance with cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Supervise housekeeping staff by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, providing training on cleaning procedures, safety regulations, and customer service excellence.
• Enforce safety protocols related to industrial cleaning equipment, chemical handling, and sanitation practices to maintain a secure working environment.
• Review cleaning schedules and procedures to optimize efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards in commercial cleaning environments.
• Identify areas requiring additional attention or corrective action; document deficiencies and coordinate timely follow-up inspections.
• Oversee custodial operations including laundry services and other specialized cleaning tasks in hospitality or institutional settings.
• Promote team management by motivating staff, fostering a culture of accountability, and ensuring clear managerial communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in custodial work with a strong background in industrial or commercial cleaning environments.
• Prior supervisory or team management experience within housekeeping or janitorial services.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to oversee team supervision effectively and communicate managerial expectations clearly.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest or client experiences through cleanliness excellence.
• Familiarity with laundry operations and hospitality industry standards is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
