The Staff Accountant position is responsible for the general ledger operations and supporting the Chief Accountant and Assistant Director of Finance in running the Finance department in line with Hyatt Corporate standards while meeting guests’ expectations.
Other responsibilities will include the following:
- Manage daily administrative tasks
- Act as a point of contact between internal departments and Finance, including clients
- Manage A/R functions
- Manage general cashier functions
- Assist Finance staff with cash applications
- Assist with journal entries and execute month-end closing checklist
- Assist with reporting and preparation of account reconciliations
- Review, investigate, and analyze General Ledger variances
- Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures and special projects, as required
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Qualifications:
Hotel Accounting experience preferred
Prior Oracle, Birchstreet, Evention, EAS, and Opera experience preferred
Must be an intermediate or advanced user of Microsoft Excel
Must possess following strengths: high energy, motivated leader, effective communicator, excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills
Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
