Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure top cleanliness standards.
• Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces with precision and care.
• Handle various cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, mops, buffers, and other janitorial tools.
• Safely handle chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to ensure a safe environment for all staff and guests.
• Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to safety procedures for injury prevention.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns.
• Maintain proper documentation of cleaning activities, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure sanitation standards are consistently met.

Skills

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of hotel housekeeping management practices.
• Expertise in floor care techniques including floor cleaning, stripping, sealing, waxing, and polishing to maintain impeccable surfaces.
• Proficiency in handling cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and chemical dispensers.
• Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or exposure.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during routine cleaning tasks.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) for chemicals used on-site.
• Strong custodial experience combined with hospitality knowledge ensures high standards of cleanliness are achieved consistently.
