Your proactive approach will ensure that public areas, guest rooms (when needed), and back-of-house spaces are spotless, sanitized, and welcoming. Duties
- Saturday and Sunday is a must! Do not apply if you do not want to work weekends.
- Perform thorough floor cleaning and care using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to maintain pristine surfaces across all hotel areas
- Handle cleaning tasks with precision, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting public spaces and guest corridors
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and handle chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment to support housekeeping operations
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by adhering to hotel housekeeping management procedures and industry best practices
- Support janitorial and custodial tasks to ensure all areas meet health standards and hotel emergency procedures are followed when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests related to cleanliness or facility needs
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience within a hospitality or industrial cleaning environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of floor care techniques, sanitation standards, and cleaning equipment operation
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and safety procedures including chemical handling and SDS compliance
- Experience in hospitality settings or hotel housekeeping roles is advantageous
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures ensures safety for both guests and staff
