The Job
Hyatt Place Knoxville, located in the heart of downtown, is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team! This position assists the DOSM and Sales Manager with various administrative duties, account management, customer follow-up, and presentation preparation.
This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Your Responsibilities
- Partnering with clients as the point of contact for details, questions, requests and changes once business is confirmed by Sales Leaders
- Maintaining organization of office files
- Communicating interdepartmentally to ensure details of groups and events are executed properly
- Preparing sales-related reports, Resumes, and Banquet Event Orders
- Performing hotel site tours and detail planning meetings
- Other duties as assigned
What You Need
- Previous sales, administrative, or customer service experience required
- Experience working with Opera, Delphi, and Hyatt systems a plus
- Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel proficiency required
- Excellent verbal and written communication required
- Previous hotel experience or Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills required
- Excellent judgment/decision making and time management skills preferred
- Energetic team player, with a desire to grow within hospitality sales

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
