Hotel Breakfast Attendant (Seasonal)

The Hotel Group, in partnership with Hotel Equities, a multi–award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is searching for experienced Seasonal Breakfast Attendants to join the team at the Hyatt House Seattle/Downtown located in Seattle, WA.

Hyatt House Seattle Downtown is an extended‑stay hotel located directly across the street from the iconic Space Needle, offering guests convenient access to Seattle Center attractions such as MoPOP and Chihuly Garden and Glass, along with spacious suites and a complimentary morning breakfast.

Position Overview

We are hiring two friendly and dependable Seasonal Breakfast Attendants to support our busy season. This is a seasonal role expected to end in October, with some flexibility for the ideal candidate regarding the exact end date. In this role, you will set up, maintain, and restock the breakfast buffet while creating a warm and welcoming experience for each guest.

Shifts start between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM, and weekend availability (Fri–Sun) is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service.
• Set up, monitor, restock, and maintain the breakfast buffet.
• Keep the buffet area clean, orderly, and visually appealing.
• Brew fresh coffee, refill juice dispensers, restock bottled water (if offered), and provide waffle batter as needed.
• Clear dirty dishes and restock clean plates, utensils, and serving items.
• Communicate with kitchen staff when food items need replenishing.
• Follow all hotel safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost‑and‑found items promptly.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior hotel experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of food and beverage experience required.
• Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Food Handler’s Permit.
• Friendly, attentive, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to respond professionally to guests and team members.
• Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Must maintain grooming standards, including a clean, pressed uniform and nametag.
• Able to stand for long periods (up to the full shift) and lift/carry/push/pull 10–30 lbs as needed.
• Must follow safety procedures, use chemicals correctly, and maintain an organized workspace.
