As General Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of hotel operations while driving profitability, enhancing guest satisfaction, developing associates, and ensuring brand compliance. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations
- Serve as the primary strategic leader for the hotel, overseeing all operational departments.
- Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team focused on guest satisfaction, associate engagement, and operational excellence.
- Foster a positive workplace culture where associates are empowered to grow and succeed.
- Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards, company policies, and all regulatory requirements.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget and business plan.
- Monitor financial performance, sales, revenues, expenses, and profitability metrics.
- Analyze business results and implement strategic initiatives to drive performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and maximize profitability.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Champion a strong sales culture throughout the property.
- Collaborate with sales and revenue management teams to develop and execute revenue-generating strategies.
- Establish aggressive but achievable performance goals that drive market share growth and top-line revenue.
- Actively participate in key client relationships, community engagement, and business development opportunities.
Guest Experience & Brand Excellence
- Ensure exceptional guest service is consistently delivered across all departments.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement action plans to improve satisfaction scores.
- Lead initiatives that enhance the overall guest experience and strengthen brand loyalty.
- Ensure the property meets or exceeds Hyatt brand standards and quality assurance requirements.
Talent Development
- Recruit, train, mentor, and retain top hospitality talent.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Promote accountability, recognition, and professional growth among associates.
- Create an inclusive and engaging work environment that supports team success.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a General Manager in a full-service hotel environment.
- Demonstrated success in driving financial performance and achieving operational goals.
- Proven ability to build cohesive teams and foster a high-performance culture.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example management style.
- Exceptional guest service focus and commitment to hospitality excellence.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Strong analytical and financial management abilities, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Proven track record of improving associate engagement and satisfaction.
Preferred
- Experience with a Hyatt-branded hotel or upscale branded hospitality environment.
- Extended-stay hotel experience.
- Experience with revenue management systems and hotel operations technology platforms.
