Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff. This position requires a strong commitment to quality and efficiency, with an emphasis on delivering exceptional service in the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting rooms: Thoroughly checking guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, proper maintenance, and adherence to standards.
- Assessing cleanliness: Evaluating the work of housekeepers and identifying areas for improvement.
- Tracking room status: Maintaining records of room availability, occupancy, and cleaning status.
- Coordinating with other departments: Collaborating with Front Desk, Engineering, and other departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Addressing guest complaints: Responding to guest inquiries and complaints regarding cleanliness, service, and maintenance.
- Assisting with training: Providing guidance and support to housekeepers, and potentially assisting with their training.
- Maintaining housekeeping storage areas: Keeping storage areas clean, tidy, and organized.
- Completing reports: Preparing daily housekeeping reports and documenting maintenance requests.
Additional Tasks:
- Perform cleaning guest room / public area duties during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial roles is preferred, particularly in hotel or hospitality settings.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Knowledge of housekeeping management practices is a plus.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
